*NOTE*: I have changed the routing to run the harness under the battery tray so it’s no longer hanging over the header, I will post a update photo..someday
I ended up routing the engine harness on my EG through the AC delete plug, and then going utilizing one of the existing studs on the firewall to hold a wire clamp down to keep it in place.
After the battery tray is installed, there is enough clearance to run the harness down and around the outside edge of the tray. The wire clamp ensures the cable will not move around and cause any issues once the battery is installed.
Another benefit to this aside from being a clean and out of the way install is that it moves the engine harness over to the left side away from the heat the header will create. A earlier setup I had routed the engine harness higher up, but directly over the headers, in this method it is pulled over to the side and clears the direct line of them.
